What removes rust from iron?
Its the rust removal chemical, cyanoacrylate (the stuff used on eye glasses). Dip the iron ingot into the cyanoacrylate solution, gently shake and dry it out. Let it dry for a few hours in a well ventilated area. Voila! Its now ready to use. I just have to do the rest of the metal and then I’ll be done. If I was doing this at the workshop I would mix the iron into the solution, but it’s easier to do it here at home. The trick is remembering that I need to dip it in, shake it well, dry it off and put it back on top of the bars. Hopefully that was easier than the demonstration! Here are some very random things that are random about me.iron rust remover Some funny, some odd. I’m not even sure where to begin, and for most of them I don’t think they’re funny at all, but here goes anyway. You might not care, but they’re still random, so it’s all the more fun. 1. I remember listening to Beatles music on my family’s record player when I was a kid. In my family we bought lots of records in the sixties, but I can’t remember any of the names of any of the songs or who sang them. I just know that I bought “The Beatles Greatest Hits” and that it had “Do You Want to Know a Secret?” on it. It’s all very vague. 2. I have an extremely heightened sense of smell, even in the winter. I’ve been told that it’s genetic, but I still don’t really know what it’s a sign of, and maybe that’s why I haven’t taken advantage of it! What an idiot! 3. I’m afraid of blowing my nose in public. I have this very clear picture in my head of me blowing my nose in the mall bathroom, or worse, a store that I know sells tea, coffee, or coffee mugs. My first job was at a specialty tea shop and I had to train in the kitchen, which smelled just like it. I’ll do it at home, but I try not to in public. 4. I have a nasty habit of sneezing into my hand. Its not gross, but when I sneeze, I have this compulsion to catch my sneeze in my hand. What a weirdo! 5. When I go grocery shopping I love getting the reduced meat / produce / dairy / frozen food items. At least if I buy them, I’m not wasting money by throwing them out. 5. I used to be afraid of dirt. I hated when my mother or the maid would clean up in the house. I’m not sure why. I didn’t see dirt anymore. Then I lived with my husband in Vegas. In the summers he’d take me to the beach or lake and I’d play in the sand and water, and of course I got dirty. It was amazing. I didn’t ever care! 6. I have extremely dark green eyes. I remember visiting my cousin at her family’s beach house, and the sun was out and she was totally tan. All the other girls were tan too, except for me. I had dark brown hair and brown eyes, but my skin was brown and my eyes were brown and green. I went tanning once, and that’s when I found out I have a burn scar on my back. The tanning bed, not my back.
